Founded in 1971 by Juan Bonet, a fisherman from Formentera, and his wife Andrea when it was just a tiny beach restaurant on the idyllic Playa Illetes beach, the business grew and grew to become one of the best restaurants in Formentera, run by the couple’s 3 children – Andrés, Juanjo and Jorge.
Thanks to all this family’s hard work and dedication, Juan y Andrea restaurant in Formentera was recognised for its business excellence (PREMIO POSIDONIA POR EXCELENCIA EMPRESARIAL) in 2016, making it a social and culinary benchmark on an international level, spreading the name of the island worldwide. One of the best restaurants in Formentera to enjoy typical local produce.

To start off, some clams, fried wrasse, fresh Formentera shrimp or any of our salads. For your main, try a lobster in garlic sauce, lobster linguini, one of our paellas or the fresh fish grill, among other delights. We are one of the best restaurants in Formentera in fish cooked in salt.
But if you prefer meat, go for a Black Angus sirloin or shoulder of suckling lamb. Save room for dessert because you won’t want to miss our house-made chocolate cake and cheesecake. The wine list specialises in white, rosé, cava and champagne.
